Stuart’s reputation as a boating paradise comes from the confluence of two rivers and easy access to the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulfstream right off shore. The ICW (Indian River) divides the mainland from the barrier islands (Hutchinson and Jupiter Island). The St. Lucie River with North and South sections wraps around the town and meets up with the ICW at the St. Lucie Inlet to the Atlantic. White there are miles of great shoreline, this map shows the homes sites with boat access to both the inland waters and the ocean. There is a new rail service planned for 2017 that is going to impact boating, when you are coming from west of the Roosevelt bridge. This service will impact waterfront property west of the bridge negatively and increase the value of waterfront east of the Roosevelt Bridge.
