Lost Lake Area Prices are based upon data at the Realtor Association of Martin County from January, 2011 thru today:
Lost Lake offers a variety of homes amongst the 1,600 residential units ranging from builder models to custom homes. Golf cottages with two bedrooms and two baths make up the bulk of the product, and sell for $250K at $160/SF. There are custom homes averaging north of $400K and $170/SF. This data came from the Realtors Association of Martin County for the period January, 2011 through today.
Lost Lake is divided into villages. The gated Arbors is 190 custom homes built around a large central lake and with streets built out into the Atlantic Ridge Preserve, offering native Florida settings. The Falls at Lost Lake is 140 custom homes inside the gated golf course area, and features an elaborate set of water gardens at the entrance to the village. Prices in both communities average between $400 and $600K. Lost Lake (registered in Martin county as Double Tree PUD) includes about 600 units, divided between custom SFHs, small cottages and duplexes. Prices range between $250 and $400K.
The Preserve is a mature community of 315 SFH’s with lakes and extensive falls. These well-built units are sought after by retirees and families. The homes are DiVosta’s Hampton model configured as 3/2/2s with 2017 SF. Prices average $250K, yielding $125/SF — the most affordable in the Lost Lake area. The 555 unit Retreat is a newer community, built around 2005, and feature Divosta’s Capri III (2/2/2 with 1,523 SF), Oakmont (3/2/2 with 1,997 SF), and Carlyle (4/3/2 with 2,502 SF) models. Prices range from $230K to $450K.
All of the Lost Lake communities feature their own pool, tennis, bocce centers, and have HOAs that deliver gated (except The Retreat which is not gated) services and front of home landscaping. The result is all the villages have a well-manacured appearance.
Lost Lake is built around a semi-private golf club with an excellent eighteen hole layout designed by the Fazio’s. The course features a variety of water effects, water falls, and preservation areas. The scenic design masks a really challenging track that demands accuracy and length to score well. Fortunately, there are five well defined sets of tees allowing players to match their skills to the challenges.
The Lost Lake Golf Club offers both good value for members and occasional players. Memberships generally range from $300/month for singles and $400/month for families. They represent the best value on the Treasure Coast, as the golf course is always in good shape and effectively run. There are probably just over 300 members, offering players daily games, and always someone to play with.
